On Saturday, 18th April and Sunday, 19th April over 135 anglers arrived in Dartmouth to fish the Dartmouth Angling and Boating Association Plaice Festival.
With over 100 plaice caught over the 2 day event, the winner was Mr D Howell from Kingswear (4.46lbs), who received £250 and a rod.
Second came Mrs C Rice from Derby (4.14lbs), who had a cheque for £150 and a rod.
Third prize of £125 and a rod went to Mr M Collins from Dartmouth (4.05lbs)
Fourth was Mr C browm of Dartmouth (3.89lbs), who also received a rod and £100.
There was a four way tie for fifth place, B Wotton, T Bird, T Hoult, and K Dawe (3.811lbs).
The best specimen prize went to B Wotton from Dartmouth (2.66lbs), and best junior was awarded to J Grimshaw from Paignton (3.44lbs).
