Annual Prize Presentation for 2007
Local anglers were presented with tropies for their acheivements in catching the best fish to come to the scales for the year 2007.
The Club had a good year with good fish being weighed in from senoir and junior angling members.
A lady angler landed the best fish of the year by catching a huge Ballam Wrasse at 6lbs 12ozs. Glynis Smith was fishing a well known mark out of Dartmouth with Robert Wotton, when Glynis hooked into the monster wrasse, which I am told put up a massive fight before coming to the net.
Other noteable fish caught include a good shore plaice of 3lbs 9ozs. This was caught by Paul Lingham who is a member of the club and an England International that has represented the Country for the second year running.
Another member of the club, and also an England International, Neil Hargreaves, landed a really good shore caught Thornback Ray of 10lbs 12ozs. Paul and Neil are fishing for England again this year inSpain, and we wish them good luck!
